greening up

It's been a rough two weeks with Dale having major shoulder surgery and I haven't been able to get out or do much. Work has fallen behind. But now things are better and I finally got out to turn the garden and plant a few things, onions and spinach, some peas. We spread the ashes from winter's wood fires on the beds. The grass outside is greening up and a lot more things are now in bloom. I will plant more this weekend.

Luna

One day Luna decided to stretch out on the coffee table amidst all the pens and remotes and laptop. Is this a comfy place? - didn't look like it to us, not with a nice warm fire nearby. By the way, D is thrilled with his new laptop. So much faster than the old one.

More Spring Snow

Yes , it's been a while since I posted anything. The thing is, nothing really interesting has been going on. No stimulating hikes or fun trips anywhere. It got cold and has stayed cold for a while and D got the stomach flu over the weekend. We have gotten two more spring snows which is actually really great. The daffodils were trying to come up but got beaten down. They are now trying to stand up again. All the bushes that had sprouted early have been frozen and turned brown. The frittilaria has been frozen again. But inside we are happy - our faithful wood stove has been keeping us toasty throughout it all.
