The Aspen is Down

It was sad but the large aspen tree was starting to die. They never last that long on the Front Range without getting diseased. We decided to cut it down. The chainsaw did it's work rather quickly. We cut the first trunk to fall into the street. Unfortunately D's aim wasn't that great on the second trunk and it fell on the porch roof. But - no harm done - only the flexible top branches hit the house. We all had a good laugh over that. It provided a lot of wood for a friend's wood stove.
